How does the cash back work?
When you buy with Dwella, part of the buyer’s agent commission is credited back to you at closing. It appears as a line on your closing statement, usually as a credit toward your closing costs.
Is the cash back taxed?
In most cases a buyer rebate is treated as a reduction in the price of the home, not as income. Your situation may differ, so check with a tax adviser.
Do I have to use a Dwella mortgage?
No. You can bring any lender you like and still get your commission back. The extra $3,000 closing credit only applies when you finance with Dwella.
Where does Dwella work?
We’re live in 32 states and Washington, D.C. A few states don’t allow rebates; there we lower your costs another way, such as covering your inspection.
